INGREDIENTS FOR 4 PEOPLE:

  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 pot of plain yoghurt
  • 2 sprig of mint
  • 1/2 onion
  • 1 green chilli
  • Salt and pepper

PREPARATION:

Peel the cucumber and grate. Put it in a colander while preparing the remaining ingredients. Chop the onion finely. Take the mint leaves and chop finely. Cut the chilli. Squeeze the grated cucumber to remove as much water.

In a bowl put the cucumber, chilli, mint, onions, salt, pepper and yogurt. Mix well so that everything is well combine. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.

Serve with meat curry and rice, cucumber raita being very fresh it helps cut the spicy flavour when making a hot curry.
