Ingredients:
- 750 g of chopped fresh deer meat
- 2 tablespoons of curry powder (about 10 g)
- 1 teaspoon of turmeric
- 3 chopped tomatoes
- 1 chopped onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- a piece of ginger
- a branch of curry leaves
- a sprig of thyme
- 1 tablespoon of chopped parsley
- some branches chopped coriander
- salt and pepper
Preparation:
In a mortar, mash together the garlic and the ginger. Then add the curry powder and 3 tablespoons of water and continue to crush into a paste. Keep aside.
Heat a pan with a little oil and fry the meat for 5 minutes. Keep aside.
In the same pan, brown the onions, then add the crushed curry paste / garlic / ginger and turmeric. Stir constantly for 3 minutes over medium heat then add the tomatoes, the curry leaves, the thyme and the parsley. Stir and let it simmer for two minutes, then add a glass of water and let it cook for 3 minutes.
Add the meat, salt and pepper, stir and simmer covered for 15 minutes over low heat.
Sprinkle your Deer Curry with chopped coriander and serve it hot with rice and a cucumber and carrot salad.
