Corn Puris

Corn Puris

Corn Puris

ingredients:

  • 300 g of powdered corn
  • 175g of flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 250 ml of water
  • oil for frying
  • salt

preparation:

In a pan pour water, add the corn and the salt. Mix over heat until the evaporation of water then let it cool. Then add the corn flour and baking powder and knead until the dough is firm and smooth.

Cut the dough in small pieces and roll them to make small balls, then flatten them with your hands, adding a little flour so it don’t stick too much.

Heat a pan with the oil for frying. Once the oil is very hot, fry the puris and the cooked puris on paper towels to remove excess of oil.

Serve hot with a chicken curry and lemon spinach.
