Sweet and sour fish

  • 500 g fish fillet
  • 100 g of pineapple
  • 1 green pepper
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 onion
  • 100 ml of white vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons of cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons of white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of crushed red chilli
  • Salt and pepper

Cut the fish into strips, season them with salt and pepper, add the cornstarch and mix well. Cut the pineapple into pieces, the cucumber into large cubes, the green pepper into pieces, the tomatoes into quarters and the onion in 4. Separate the pieces of onions. Prepare a sauce with the vinegar, sugar and chilli, mix well and set aside.

Heat a wok with a little oil and stir fry the fish pieces for a few seconds. Cover the wok and cook until the fish turns golden brown. Add the pineapple, green pepper, onions, tomatoes and cucumber and mix. Cook 2 to 3 minutes then add the sauce and mix well. Continue to cook for 1 minute over high heat and keep stirring so that the fish does not stick.

Cut the fire, your sweet and sour fish is ready. Serve it with white rice or Tamarind Rice.
